I began my career at Nationwide Life Insurance Company in customer service and operations subsequently moving into various compliance and legal roles. These roles all focused in the areas of life and annuity product development and the servicing of in-force policies and contracts.
In 2016, I joined Sammons Financial Group. In my role at Sammons Financial, I have guided the development of fixed and indexed annuities and life insurance products - as an individual contributor and a leader of other legal professionals. I am regularly engaged in mitigating legal and regulatory risk and often am also asked for advice on business related issues. Most recently, I have been working on issues related to the use of predictive models and artificial intelligence in life insurance operations and underwriting.
I received my bachelors degree from Ohio State University and my juris doctor from Capital University.
I live in West Des Moines Iowa with my wife Katherine. In our spare time we enjoy dining and travel.
